Name: Hoppy Holidaze
Style: Winter Warmer
Brewery: Marin Brewing Company website
Country: USA
Region: Larkspur, California
ABV: 7.00%
How served: 22oz bomber poured into a Hennepin glass.
I paired this beer with: Fried chicken.
Tasted on: Thursday December 10, 2009.
Note: This is a good session type brew. It goes down very smooth with the spices very well balanced. This isn’t a “hop bomb” as you might think by reading the label nor is it over spiced. It is an enjoyable brew.
on the label it states: “Our Traditional Christmas Ale, brewed with Pale, Wheat, Caramalt and Munich malts and hopped with Sterling and Styrian Goldings hop varieties. Delicately spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, mace, orange peel and pure vanilla extract.”
Well I’m more than half way there on my quest for a Christmas beer a day from Thanksgiving to Christmas. This is the 15th of my daily Christmas/Winter beers which I will be having until Christmas. There are now only 14 more beers until Christmas!
