Bon Beer Voyage will be going to The Festival in Portland, Maine where we will be joining a number of the brewers whom we visit on our Beercations and Beer Safari Weekends.

The Festival is made possible by the Shelton Brothers & 12% Imports.  There will be over 75 Breweries/Cider and Mead makers representing 16 different countries!  The actual Brewers/Cider and Mead Makers will be present at their booths the majority of the time to chat about their offerings. There will be over 200 Beers, Ciders, or Meads to sample at each session. Most Artisans will have 4 offerings per session. Many of the Artisans are producing special beers, ciders or meads for The Festival that will debut at The Festival. These offerings are extremely limited in the quantity produced.   The entrance is limited to just 1200 people per session, so no long lines or crowds!

A few of the “Premier” and special offerings to be found at The Festival:

  • Unveiled in Portland for the 1st time will be Cantillon’s – Lambic d’Haute Densité – A high density lambic, think of it as a Gueuze/Barley Wine.
    • Also do not miss Cantilllon Zwanze 2012
  • A brand new 3 Fonteinen Beer will be introduced at The Festival!
    • There will also be a limited amount of vintage 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze at The Festival.  They have a few cases of the ’98, ’99 and 2001. One year will be poured at each session and when it’s gone, it’s gone
  • World premieres of De Ranke XXX Bitter (yes that’s 3 Xs) and the new BINK IPA from Brouwerij Kerkom
  • A very very limited quantity of Westvleteren 12 available at each Festival session.
  • The Collaboration La Vermontoise from Blaugies/Hill Farmstead Brewery will be available at The Festival!
  • Plus Many Many More!
