We were here for a 4 course beer paired dinner featuring beers from Brooklyn Brewery. The event was hosted by Richard Nowak from Brooklyn Brewery. Richard gave us a brief history of Brooklyn Brewery and explained why each beer was paired with the prepared dish.

1st course: Honey Grilled Pears on Baby Arugula with House Glazed Walnuts and Stilton Blue Cheese
Brooklyn Brewery “Brooklyn Brown Ale”
2nd course: Serrano Wrapped Diver Scallop over Savory Corn Mauque Choix with Chipotle BBQ Sauce and Sweet Potato Hay
Brooklyn Brewery “Brooklyn Lager”
3rd course: Seared Alaskan Halibut over Confit Organic Parsnips with Broken Andouille Butter and Endive-Poblano Slaw
Brooklyn Brewery “Brooklyn Local 1”
4th course: Beignet of Goats Cheese and Imperial Stout Chocolate Ganache
Brooklyn Brewery “Brooklyn Local 2”
Overall: All 4 of the courses paired very well with the served Brooklyn beer, especially the dessert course. I give high praise to the owner of this restaurant as they are trying to introduce the idea of craft beer into their predominately seafood and wine menu.
